St. Helens Case Study
Situation
After competing in the Engage Super League for a record third successive Grand final, St. Helens RLFC were striving to make sure the final year at the historic and nostalgic Knowsley Road was to be a success both on and off the pitch. Only two weeks before the season started a variety of perimeter and stadium boards which offered a cross section of TV and local home support exposure lay vacant. This was when Eleven was brought in with the task of fulfilling all space within the stadium.
Approach
Eleven designed a fully comprehensive and targeted activation plan that involved approaching the local SMEs of the Merseyside area to help purvey bespoke packages for each client’s specific needs. Office based sales staff contacted the genres of business Eleven knew would find the unrivalled exposure on offer the most rewarding and beneficial. This was followed by a visit from a commercial advisor to finalise all the needs to achieve the commercial objectives for each business.
Execution
Eleven handled the vast amount of locally based sponsorship and advertising at Knowsley Road. This saw Eleven meet and exceed all required targets previously set at the beginning of our campaign. Eleven also introduced new clients to the Business development Manager of St. Helens RLFC. The club were then able to provide these clients with internal opportunities such as player and match ball sponsorship. At the end of the six week project with St Helens, Eleven had not only fulfilled our obligations but reached optimum with regards to the Stadium itinerary.
